Base compensation USD$400/Mo.

Our GSP is not tiny, but is still a small business. This is a jack-of-all-trades entry position. You will handle support, operations, light sales, various customer-facing and company-facing duties, and other duties as required in the normal operation of a world-class game hosting company.
More information and requirements:
The ability to communicate in clear written friendly English to our customers.
Read and understand written training documentation, especially the ability to extrapolate where documentation may be incomplete.
The ability to submit constructive criticism to our operations managers about our current operations.
Experience with another GSP is not needed.
Hours are variable.
This is a position where you can work from home during times that you are normally around your computer anyway.
Students and persons with other part-time jobs are perfect.
You do not "punch" in and out on a time clock, and you can do most of your workload at your convenience within reason.
Your hours are not directly monitored. Performance is monitored and bonused.
Time of greatest need is during the hours of 3PM-1AM EST daily, but not continuously.
If you are selected for interview, a better picture of our ideas will be explained so that you can decide if this is the place for you.
You will interact with customers by written English via support tickets. 80%.
You will interact with management by IRC, email, telephone, and Nextel Radio. 15%. [Much Higher during training].
You may rarely interact with customers by email, IRC, and telephone. Privacy guaranteed, you would use our toll-free callout system. 5%.
Training is OTJ after standard company orientation.
You will handle tier one support and sales items, such as:
1. Communication/Translation/Doc Lookups
(We tell the customer how to do it, but they don't read it, so you have to explain it to them over and over again each time).
2. Information relay
(If there is an outage or problem affecting multiple customers, relay of timely information about the outage and ETR).
3. Automated installations
(Installs are semi-automated .. you will enter base information and our installation scripts do the rest).
4. Light troubleshooting
(Common problems, common quirks, etc.)
5. Light Sales
(Almost everything is on our website, but you might need to hold a customer's hand to get them to the right place).
6. Light Assistance
(In some cases the Administrator may ask for special assistance with remote operations or ongoing projects).
Other requirements:
Read/Write/Speak clear English.
French or Spanish as second language a plus.
Must be 18 years of age.
Residency requirements are not an issue unless timezones cause a problem.
We operate on GMT. Must be able to compute timezone conversions from all US and Western European times to GMT.

We will screen applicants based on responses to us.

If you have holiday travel/vacation plans in place, please let us know them as soon as you are selected for interview.

All communication with us will be used as part of the selection process.
The way you communicate with us should mirror the way you will interact with our paying customers.
Many will apply, some will interview, few will be hired. We'd like to hire everyone, but we can't. Please don't get mad and attack us if you are not hired.
Make sure you read everything we send you. Asking a question that is already documented is a negative because it means we repeat efforts and thus inefficient.
Notes:
Performance bonus is subjective and is awarded at the discretion of management.
Christmas bonus is awarded every December to all persons who made significant contributions during the year.
